I had to weigh myself this morning because I was sure I was feeling lighter.  I was right, I lost two pounds!  WooHoo.  But today has been more difficult, I’ve been more hungry today than the previous days.  I was able to stick to the Core Plan and did a brisk walk this morning.  So I’m still doing good.  I’ll get back on the scale on Saturday.

I’m feeling lighter already.  I’m still doing good on the core plan.  I’m eating more than I usually do as I try to keep up with the required daily foods.  I even took a walk today for about an hour.  Of course poor Ly fell and scrapped her little knee, but she was a trooper and we continued on. Had to do the band-aid things when we got home though.

I’m  going to weigh myself tomorrow morning instead of waiting until Saturday.  I’ll let you know.

Monday 6/16

This is the third day on Weight Watcher’s Core Plan.  I’m having a hard time eating all the required foods.  I’m not that hungry.  I had a one egg omelet with green pepper, onions, and fat free cheese [I wasn't sure how the cheese was going to taste, but I really like it...whew].  Then I had a vegetable salad at 12:30 when I feed Ly but I wasn’t hungry.  I’m going to have to change my thinking.  I will only eat when I’m hungry  and not eat because the clock tells me I should.

One thing I did notice is that eating protein in the morning really keeps the hunger at bay.  Yesterday I ate a banana for breakfast, then an hour later had an apple, two hours later had to have tuna and vegetables.  All this before lunch.  Then I had a veggie chili for lunch with beans for protein and I was good.

Protein rocks.

Weight Watchers

June 16, 2008 at 3:38 pm (Weekly Weigh In, Weight Loss) (, , )

I feel I must admit that I’ve signed up for Weight Watcher’s online.  Being 47 and changing my entire life means getting rid of the weight.  My weight for most of my adult life was 103, 124 going into labor with my youngest daughter.  103 was good for me and my social life.  In 1996 I had a hysterectomy and was put on hormone replacement – things have never been the same.  The weight goes on pretty quickly now.

So, I joined WW on Saturday at 140 pounds.  I’m only 3 pounds from the high end of my ideal weight and my doctor said I shouldn’t lose weight, but I hate the extra weight.

Weight Watchers lets you choose between the Flex Plan and the Core Plan.  I chose the Core Plan because it lets me eat as much ‘core foods’ as I like and I don’t have to count points.  The Flex Plan allows you to eat whatever you want, but you have to keep track of points and when you reach your limit you can’t eat any more.  Not for me.  The Core Plan gives you a 35 point allowance that allows you to eat foods off of the core foods list.  So I won’t feel deprived at all.

Here we go!
