The Best – Ly
Only a grandma can know what I mean when I say ‘this is the best there is.’ I babysit for this little woman every day and love it. I appreciate every minute I get to spend with her. And yes I do spoil her a bit.
She was born on September 27, 2005 after 20 hours of labor. Mommy finally had to have a c-section and had to have general anesthesia. I’d never heard of such a thing and was really worried for both of them. I guess the spinal didn’t work, they tried it twice. But no need to worry, they both came out of it fine. And daddy really stepped up to take care of everything while mommy recovered. I don’t think she had to change a diaper for two weeks. I don’t think my husband ‘ever’ changed a diaper.
I’d never be 20 again!
Please tell me I wasn’t as stupid as some of the people I see on the mommy boards. The more I read, the more I’m convinced that men only marry so someone will take care of them and their kids. There are so many young moms who complain about their "DH" (God I hate that – DH…whatever) does nothing but drink with his friends and play xbox. You thought married life would be peaches and cream? It sucks, it’s not fair, especially if you have kids. Start putting money away now, you’ll need it later when you finally decide to leave.
There is another mom who just kills me. "I’m a single mom living with my parents; I don’t work; I go to school; they babysit for free; they feed me [most likely pay for everything since she doesn't work] and it’s not fair the way they talk to my daughter ‘if you don’t eat it I will’ then she is so generous she gives it to them. They make her color big bird yellow instead of purple. [the horror!] I’m so glad to have this board because I know you guys don’t judge me."
Yeah, I’m not judging you you spoiled, lazy bitch. Wait until you have to start paying for food, clothes, gas, and a babysitter who doesn’t LOVE your daughter, then you’ll have something to complain about.
I HATE er…Love Elmo
Sesame Street’s Elmo has got to be the cutest little monster ever! My granddaughter also loves this little critter. So, being the BEST GRANDMA EVER, I ordered several Elmo videos from Sesame Street.com. That was a few weeks ago.
"La-la-la-la…la-la-la-la…Elmo’s World" Did you know that Elmo loves his goldfish and crayons too? I do. When I wake up in the middle of the night this is what runs through my head. You know how it is, some things just stick in your brain no matter what you do.
After two and a half years of not being interested in any TV at all, this little girl now wants All Elmo, All The Time!!!
So I’m laying there at 2 am this morning wishing horrible things on Elmo. And Huxley for that matter.
I’m tired.
