HP Touchsmart PC is very cool
The first thing I saw when I opened my email to day was an announcement from HP about their new Touchsmart.
The design is very new and verrry cool, but this technology is not for me. At least not right now. Just thinking about the smudges and fingerprints on this screen makes my heart race. Look at any of my computer screens and you will not find even one fingerprint or smudge. Not because I’m always cleaning it, but because of my ‘don’t touch it’ policy.
Good policy.
It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity
OMG…I think I have heat stroke. We decided to participate in our community garage sale today (well, we decided two weeks ago). So I’m outside setting up at 6:30 this morning and it is so hot and humid that you could barely see the house across the street. Family back home thinks it gets humid in North Dakota…yeah right. Visit Virginia in June and you’ll never complain about ND humidity again.
In my quest to change my life, I’ve decided to lighten up the load – get rid of shit. I consider myself a thrower, I’m not big on sentimental value. It’s just crap. But I found that I had a lot of stuff that I could purge. People started showing up right away and we closed down after about 5 hours. We sold a lot more than I had anticipated. Both my girls were her, my sister, niece, and of course the little woman, who gave Poor Scotty a run for his money. By the way, he was sporting a pony tail today.
The heat was unreal, the kind of day that you wouldn’t leave your air conditioned house. But there we were, sitting out side and in the garage selling our crap. You know its hot when you drink a 32 oz coke, 4 large glasses of water and never have to take a pee. So now I know that I sweat coke through the pores on my face. That should be good.
I’d never be 20 again!
Please tell me I wasn’t as stupid as some of the people I see on the mommy boards. The more I read, the more I’m convinced that men only marry so someone will take care of them and their kids. There are so many young moms who complain about their "DH" (God I hate that – DH…whatever) does nothing but drink with his friends and play xbox. You thought married life would be peaches and cream? It sucks, it’s not fair, especially if you have kids. Start putting money away now, you’ll need it later when you finally decide to leave.
There is another mom who just kills me. "I’m a single mom living with my parents; I don’t work; I go to school; they babysit for free; they feed me [most likely pay for everything since she doesn't work] and it’s not fair the way they talk to my daughter ‘if you don’t eat it I will’ then she is so generous she gives it to them. They make her color big bird yellow instead of purple. [the horror!] I’m so glad to have this board because I know you guys don’t judge me."
Yeah, I’m not judging you you spoiled, lazy bitch. Wait until you have to start paying for food, clothes, gas, and a babysitter who doesn’t LOVE your daughter, then you’ll have something to complain about.
