Weight Watchers
I feel I must admit that I’ve signed up for Weight Watcher’s online. Being 47 and changing my entire life means getting rid of the weight. My weight for most of my adult life was 103, 124 going into labor with my youngest daughter. 103 was good for me and my social life. In 1996 I had a hysterectomy and was put on hormone replacement – things have never been the same. The weight goes on pretty quickly now.
So, I joined WW on Saturday at 140 pounds. I’m only 3 pounds from the high end of my ideal weight and my doctor said I shouldn’t lose weight, but I hate the extra weight.
Weight Watchers lets you choose between the Flex Plan and the Core Plan. I chose the Core Plan because it lets me eat as much ‘core foods’ as I like and I don’t have to count points. The Flex Plan allows you to eat whatever you want, but you have to keep track of points and when you reach your limit you can’t eat any more. Not for me. The Core Plan gives you a 35 point allowance that allows you to eat foods off of the core foods list. So I won’t feel deprived at all.
